Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and music producer. When she was a kid Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by many people in America. If she attended school contests and received great praise for her performance, in ninth grade she began to gain confidence. This not only increased her confidence but was also a change in the direction she pursued in her professional career. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23 she began her career in Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, when she was 23, her movie debut was You've got mail. But her biggest break came when she appeared in the character of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway show Spamalot receiving not just the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. In the following year she was cast in the role of Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. As a professional singer, she's also produced a single as well as an extensive work. Additionally, she works as a LGBT activist.
